Flemington Road Duplication

• Duplication of Flemington Road (Wells Station Drive to Hamer Street) is currently underway with completion expected in August 2010.
• Traffic delays should be expected during peak periods.

This project includes the duplication of Flemington Road from east of Kate Crace Street in Gungahlin to south of Well Station Drive in Mitchell. The project includes the upgrade to a number of existing intersections along Flemington Road including Nullabor Avenue, Mapleton Avenue, Wizard Street and Manning Clarke Crescent.

Once complete, this section of Flemington Road will comprise of a dual carriageway with service roads on both sides.

During construction, traffic will remain on the existing alignment of Flemington Road until the new carriageway is completed. Traffic will then be switched onto the new carriageway whilst the existing carriageway is upgraded.

Motorists using Flemington Road should expect delays during construction.
