Visit to Singapore Airlines Training Centre
It was great to tour Singapore Airlines' state of the art training centre and see first-hand the rigorous training undertaken by airline staff.
The visit to the Singapore Training Centre comes just over five months ahead of Singapore Airlines' first direct flight landing in Canberra in Singapore and I am confident passengers to and from the capital will be very well looked after.
I toured the Singapore Training Centre with Singapore Airlines' Senior Vice President Cabin Crew, Mr Tan Pee Teck, viewing the safety training area, cabin crew service area and the B777 Simulator, which was a particular highlight.
Singapore Airlines maintains a high level of safety and service, with all airline staff, ground and flying crew undertaking annual training at the Centre. The airline has a total of 9,685 crew.
The visit was a great insight into the work that goes on behind the scenes of the airline that has high a reputation for quallity and excellence.
