Meegan Fitzharris

Member for Yerrabi

Originally from New Zealand, Meegan has lived in Gungahlin since 2007 with her family. A proud mother, she loves exploring Canberra’s playgrounds and spending time with her three young children. Meegan enjoys spending her time in the Gungahlin area walking around the local nature reserves, as well as having been involved in various community groups in the area such as the Gungahlin Community Council.

Meegan’s professional background has included working for the NSW Police, the Australia Federal Police and the Commonwealth Attorney-General’s Department. She has also been a stay-at-home mum and run her own small business.

Meegan was elected to the ACT Legislative Assembly in January 2015 on a countback and was promoted to the Ministry in January 2016.

Meegan is a passionate advocate for fairness in the community and a strong believer in supporting growth and opportunity for all Canberrans. As your local member for Yerrabi, Meegan is dedicated to making the ACT a stronger and more vibrant territory.
