Member for Murrumbidgee

Bec has Murrumbidgee in her heart. She has grown up there, raised two sons there and is an integral part of the local community.

Bec left school to complete a hairdressing apprenticeship and then ran her own business. As a unionist, Bec believes everyone deserves to be paid well and go home safely from work. As an employer in a small business, she also experienced how hard it can be to do the right thing. In the Legislative Assembly, Bec is focused on making sure it is easier for business to do the right thing.

As a strong supporter of the ACT Government’s stance on tackling domestic violence, Bec has dealt with the impacts of domestic violence on the family, as well as the community. She knows the answer often isn’t a policeman at the door, but to make sure the community is there to help, to support, to give people options, and make people safe.

Bec was elected in October 2016 and continues to be involved in the Vikings Triathlon Club and Park Runs in Canberra.
